Volleyball Recap: Weyauwega-Fremont Comes Up Short

If Weyauwega-Fremont was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Menominee Nation on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warhawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Christian Warriors on Saturday. The Warhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Weyauwega-Fremont lost, don't look at Mariah Baehnman. Despite the final result, she had 13 assists and eight digs. Baehnman is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

Weyauwega-Fremont's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Valley Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Coincidentally, Weyauwega-Fremont and Valley Christian will both be playing Waupaca the next time they take the court. The Warhawks will head out to face the Comets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
