Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Malone). They enjoyed a cozy 76-62 victory over the Altha Wildcats on Tuesday. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Malone's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Everett Welch, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds. Welch has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Jackson Welch was another key player, putting up 19 points and five rebounds.

Malone's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Altha, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Malone will be playing in front of their home fans against Sneads at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Malone is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.9 points per game this season. As for Altha, they will venture away from home to take on Wakulla Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Altha is facing Wakulla Christian School at the right time seeing as Wakulla Christian School is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
