            The Calumet Christian Patriots will head out to  square off against the Calumet New Tech Warriors  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Calumet Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3  runs per game  this season.
Calumet Christian not only won  on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win  since April 23, 2024 (when they won  25-0). They were the clear victors by  a  19-3 margin over Indy Genesis HomeSchool. The  win was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Calumet Christian got a  massive  performance out of  Brendan Peterson, who  went a perfect 5-for-5 with one  home run, six  RBI,  and one  double. Peterson is becoming a predictor of the Patriots' success: when he posts  at  least three  RBI the team is 4-1 (and 7-10 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was  Sam Thursby, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs.
 Calumet Christian was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .529. The last time their  batting average was this high was  back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Calumet New Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight  loss  dating back to last season. They came up short against  Whiting, falling  16-3.
  Aiden Stevens was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jorge Lopez, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with two  stolen bases.
 The  victory  got Calumet Christian back to even at 11-11. As for Calumet New Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
 Everything went Calumet Christian's way against Calumet New Tech when the teams last played  back in May of 2022, as Calumet Christian made off with  an  18-2 win.
