South Pontotoc managed to slip by West Union the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Eagles on Tuesday. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-18, 25-16.

South Pontotoc's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10-2. As for West Union, they moved to 5-7-1 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Pontotoc will square off against Hatley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, West Union and Byers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
