Basketball Recap: Nevada Comes Up Short

Nevada was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 56-31 to the Mount Ida Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-22 back in December of 2025.

Nevada's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Mount Ida, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Nevada and Mount Ida will both be playing Mineral Springs the next time they take the court. The Blue Jays will host the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
