Olathe West waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Mill Valley Jaguars. This was a revenge game for the Owls: when they faced off against the Jaguars back in September, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Ella Stowell paced Olathe West's offense, picking up 17 kills. Stowell got some help from Neely Leathers and her 29 assists. Finally, Maryn Russell kept Olathe West's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Olathe West's victory bumped their record up to 28-7. As for Mill Valley, their defeat ended an eight-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 32-5.

Olathe West has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Lawrence Free State on the 31st. As for Mill Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Blue Valley West on the 1st.
