Recap: Bryan Golden Bears vs. Fairview Apaches
The Bryan Golden Bears pushed their score all the way to 59 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to Fairview. Bryan has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Bryan still got an impressive performance from Gavin Jaessing, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sam Herold, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
Bryan has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Fairview, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.
Bryan will take on the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Elida presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Golden Bears in Ohio (the Bulldogs are ranked 121st, while the Golden Bears are ranked 617th). As for Fairview, they will be playing at home against the Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
