Basketball Recap: Erasmo Garza's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Robstown over Ingleside

After flying high against Corpus Christi United last Saturday, Robstown came back down to earth. The Robstown Cottonpickers came up short against the Ingleside Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 56-36. The loss continues a trend for the Cottonpickers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now lost eight in a row.

Robstown lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Erasmo Garza, who posted seven points and six steals. Garza is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least four every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Dominguez, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.

Robstown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Ingleside, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Robstown will square off against Jones at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Ingleside, they will take on Calallen at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Calallen will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Ingleside surely won't give up without a fight.
