The home team had won the previous three meetings between Collins and Ballard, and Collins kept the tradition alive. The Titans walked away with an 8-5 win over the Bruins on Saturday. For the Titans, this counts as revenge for the 15-4 victory the Bruins walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

The team relied heavily on Owen Alvey, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Lukas Cox, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Collins has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Ballard, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Collins and Ballard will both be playing Conner the next time they take the field. The Bruins will host the Cougars at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Titans will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
