Baseball Recap: Huntsville Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. John Paul II on Monday, Huntsville came back down to earth. The Panthers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grissom Tigers on Thursday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Steven Cavaco made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Huntsville's defeat dropped their record down to 16-18. As for Grissom, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.

While Huntsville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
