Softball Recap: Lyman Memorial Comes Up Short

Lyman Memorial came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Bacon Academy Bobcats, falling 9-1. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bobcats earlier this season, when they won 4-3.

Lyman Memorial has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Bacon Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season.

Lyman Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bacon Academy, they will square off against Montville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
