Basketball Game Preview: Philo Electrics vs. Indian Valley Braves

The Philo Electrics will head out to challenge the Indian Valley Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Philo will be strutting in after a victory while Indian Valley will be coming in after a loss.

Philo had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 47-point drubbing they dealt Coshocton on Saturday. Philo blew past Coshocton, posting a 55-8 win. The victory continues a trend for the Electrics in their matchups with the Redskins: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Indian Valley came up short against Dover on Monday, falling 43-19. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 437th, while the Crimson Tornadoes are ranked 74th).

The win got Philo back to even at 11-11. As for Indian Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 11-11.

Everything went Philo's way against Indian Valley in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Philo made off with a 50-27 victory. Will Philo repeat their success, or does Indian Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
