Basketball Recap: Parke Heritage Comes Up Short

Parke Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the McCutcheon Mavericks, falling 71-39. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by exactly 32 points.

Parke Heritage lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Addilee Dawn Jenkins, who posted 11 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Addison Jenkins, who earned ten points and six rebounds.

McCutcheon was led to victory by Keara Lipscomb-Allen and Lillie Graves. Lipscomb-Allen went 11 for 13 on her way to 23 points and seven steals, while Graves went 10 of 13 en route to 21 points and five steals. Those 23 points gave Lipscomb-Allen a new career-high. Trinity Wilburn was another key player, putting up five points.

Parke Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for McCutcheon, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.

Parke Heritage has already played their next match, a 90-16 win against South Vermillion on the 14th. As for McCutcheon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-51 victory against Rensselaer Central on the 18th.
