Baseball Recap: Pendleton County Comes Up Short

Pendleton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Paris Greyhounds. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Greyhounds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

Pendleton County now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Paris, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pendleton County will face off against Bath County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Paris, they will head out to take on Berea at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Greyhounds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
