            Volleyball Recap: Tolleson Wolverines vs. Shadow Ridge Stallions        
        
		
        
        
            Tolleson lost against Shadow Ridge back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Tuesday. The Wolverines lost  3-0 to the Stallions. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
 Tolleson took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17,  25-18.
 Alek Ajak paced Tolleson's offense, picking up six kills. Ajak got some help from  Rebecca Moreno Grijalva and her 20 assists.  Adelie Acosta controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
 Shadow Ridge found their leader in sophomore  Samantha Montoya, who  had 14 assists and nine  digs. Those 14  assists set a new season-high mark for  Montoya.  Kaitlyn Rain also deserves some recognition as  she  served her first  ace of the season.
Tolleson's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Shadow Ridge, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the  victory, which was their eighth straight  at home.
 Tolleson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  3-1  defeat against Valley Vista on the 25th. As for Shadow Ridge, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  3-0  win against Apollo on the 25th.
