Game recap: Guyer High School Football Team defeats Azle

AZLE, Texas - the Wildcats had a big 21-point second quarter on Saturday, sealing a 41-10 victory over Azle (Texas).

Guyer scored on a rushing touchdown, a passing touchdown and a touchdown run in the quarter.

After taking the lead on a Jerrod Heard touchdown run in the first quarter, GHS was up 28-3 at the half.

The Denton school grew its lead to 38 points entering the fourth quarter. The Wildcats scored two times in the third, including once on a passing touchdown.



Azle's only touchdown came on a run by E.J. Salinas in the fourth quarter.

Azle (2-2) goes up against Wichita Falls in a 4A Region I District 5 game matchup next week, while Guyer (2-2) locks horns with Denton also in a 4A Region I District 5 game.
