Basketball Recap: William Webb Key Part of a Team Effort in Red Devils Win

East Jordan hadn't done well against Boyne City recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The East Jordan Red Devils came out on top against the Boyne City Ramblers by a score of 55-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Red Devils.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East Jordan to victory, but perhaps none more so than William Webb, who went 7 of 12 en route to 20 points. Those 20 points gave Webb a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Korbyn Russell, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points and three steals.

East Jordan now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Boyne City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

East Jordan will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Philip Catholic Central on January 3, 2025. After both having extra time off, Boyne City and Plymouth Christian Academy will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 4:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
