Basketball Game Preview: Delaware County Christian Knights vs. Morrisville Bulldogs

Delaware County Christian is 8-1 against Morrisville since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Delaware County Christian Knights will square off against the Morrisville Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Delaware County Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 matches.

Last Friday, Delaware County Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Bristol, taking the game 64-53. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while the Warriors are ranked 345th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Delaware County Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khamai Orange, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. The game was Orange's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Karter Shaheed-Freeman was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Delaware County Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in seven consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Morrisville blew past Martin Luther, posting a 70-23 victory. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' most dominant win of the season.

Delaware County Christian is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points per game. As for Morrisville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-9.

Everything came up roses for Delaware County Christian against Morrisville when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 78-41 win. In that contest, Delaware County Christian amassed a halftime lead of 51-19, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
