Wauneta-Palisade put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 66-20 victory over the Paxton Tigers. That 46 point margin sets a new team best for the Broncos this season.

Kreyton Wiese produced another solid effort rushing for 131 yards and five scores while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also catching one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wauneta-Palisade was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards in 12 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Wauneta-Palisade didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Wyatt Hilbert led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself.

Wauneta-Palisade's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Paxton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wauneta-Palisade will head out to take on Sumner-Eddyville-Miller at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Paxton, they will face off against Wallace at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
