Volleyball Game Preview: East River Falcons vs. Ocoee Knights + How To Watch

The East River Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Ocoee Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

If University wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played East River, they should've done a better job of containing Bella Seals. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars on Tuesday for which the team can thank Seals, who had four digs and two aces. Seals is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 18 every time she's taken the court this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant East River was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-9, 25-14.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead East River to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julia Adkins, who had 12 digs. With that strong performance, Adkins is now averaging an impressive 10 digs per game. Another player making a difference was Juni Erickson, who had five digs and three aces.

East River was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August.

Meanwhile, Ocoee had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Eagles 3-0.

Ocoee not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Legacy Charter between 14 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 25-17.

East River now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Ocoee, their record is now 10-3.

East River skirted past Ocoee 3-2 when the teams last played back in August of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
