Basketball Recap: North Edgecombe Finds Home Court Redemption Against KIPP P

There's no place like home for North Edgecombe, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the KIPP P Pride by a score of 65-55 on Tuesday. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pride, too.

North Edgecombe had a senior duo take command as Jamauri Cannady dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards and Jahmir Parker dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Isavius Arrington was another key player, putting up eight points.

North Edgecombe's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points per game. As for KIPP P, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Coincidentally, North Edgecombe and KIPP P will both be playing Weldon the next time they take the court. KIPP P will host Weldon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while North Edgecombe will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st.
