Volleyball Recap: Petaluma Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Petaluma had won three straight home games and Emma Schwappach did her part to make it four on Thursday. The Trojans had just enough and edged out the Vintage Crushers 3-2 with plenty of help from Schwappach, who had 16 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Petaluma took Vintage into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 19-25, 15-13.

Petaluma's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Vintage, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 10-7 record.

Coincidentally, Petaluma and Vintage will both be playing Sonoma Valley the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Crushers will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
