There's no place like home for Union County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They never let the University Heights Blazers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Monday. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Braves this season.

Coltin Capps looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Braden Cluchie was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That run was his first of the season. Tate Nobles was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Union County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive games.

Union County's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-12. As for University Heights, they moved to 14-6 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Coming up, Union County will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Crittenden County at 5:30 p.m. As for University Heights, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-0 win against Hopkinsville on the 28th.
