Soccer Recap: William Allen Takes a Loss

After flying high against East Stroudsburg North on Tuesday, William Allen came back down to earth. The Canaries fell just short of the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, William Allen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while Nazareth Area are ranked 130th).

William Allen's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Nazareth Area, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. William Allen will face off against rival Parkland at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Nazareth Area is set to square off against their familiar foe Pocono Mountain East at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
