Recap: Community School of Davidson Spartans vs. Langtree Charter Lions
The Community School of Davidson Spartans stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 65-15 victory over Langtree Charter on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 46-5.
Community School of Davidson was led to victory by Tyler Baughan and Molly Feighery. Baughan scored 16 points along with eight steals, while Feighery scored 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Baughan is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Aubrey McCormick, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Langtree Charter still got an impressive performance from Faithful Chambers, who scored 12 points.
Community School of Davidson pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for Langtree Charter, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.
Community School of Davidson will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pine Lake Prep at 5:30 p.m. Pine Lake Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Langtree Charter, they will head out on the road to take on Christ the King at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Christ the King focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Tuesday.
