With a playoff win on the line, Rowlett rose to the challenge on Friday. They never let the Tyler Legacy Raiders get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Raiders on Thursday, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Jeffrey Claycomb was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Rowlett's victory bumped their record up to 20-8-1. As for Tyler Legacy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-13.

Rowlett will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
