Basketball Game Preview: Wheatland Bulldogs vs. Burns Broncs

The Wheatland Bulldogs will face off against the Burns Broncs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Saturday, Wheatland ended up a good deal behind Rawlins and lost 54-38.

Meanwhile, Burns was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 68-64 heartbreaker at the hands of Glenrock.

Wheatland has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Burns, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Everything came up roses for Wheatland against Burns in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 76-35 win. Will Wheatland repeat their success, or does Burns have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
