Soccer Recap: Comeaux Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Comeaux can now relate to. They came up short against the Prairieville Hurricanes on Wednesday, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Hurricanes are ranked 12th).

Comeaux's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1. As for Prairieville, their victory bumped their record up to 9-0-1.

Comeaux does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prairieville, they will welcome Archbishop Rummel at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th. Prairieville's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Archbishop Rummel's offense will have their work cut out for them.
