Football Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

Wayne extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 1-8. They were beaten by the Scotus Shamrocks 55-12. The Blue Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.

Despite the defeat, Wayne saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Easton Endicott threw for 217 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. 93 of Endicott's passing yards were hauled in by Jace Jorgensen.

As for Scotus, their record now sits at 3-6. Considering their offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

It was another big night for Thomas Settje, who rushed for 234 yards and four scores while picking up 13.8 yards per carry. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Drew Mustard, who rushed for 98 yards and one TD.

As of now, neither Wayne nor Scotus have any future games scheduled.
