Brianna Wood commands the offense for Bulldogs win

Recap: Chamblee Bulldogs vs. Decatur Bulldogs

Even though the Chamblee Bulldogs have not done well against the Decatur Bulldogs recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Chamblee came out on top against Decatur by a score of 41-33. The win made it back-to-back wins for Chamblee.

Chamblee's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brianna Wood, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Wood is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alana Azeta, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and five blocks.

Despite the loss, Decatur saw an underclassman step up: Dejah Raine scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Raine continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Nadiya Mohamed was another key contributor, scoring five points along with four steals.

Chamblee is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Decatur, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Chamblee will head out on the road to challenge Lithonia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lithonia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 486th, while Chamblee is ranked 210th). As for Decatur, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Arabia Mountain at 6:00 p.m.
