Recap: Conway Tigers vs. Berkeley Stags
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Conway Tigers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against Berkeley on Friday, falling 44-8. Conway just can't catch a break and has now endured four defeats in a row.
Henry Rivers was his usual excellent self, rushing for 74 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while also throwing for 174 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes. Tyler Umphlet got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Conway's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Berkeley, their victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 6-5.
Conway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Berkeley will take on Summerville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Summerville will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
