Soccer Recap: Draughn Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Draughn duked it out with Patton on Wednesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Panthers, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Draughn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 548th, while Patton are ranked 64th).

Draughn dropped their record down to 0-11-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Patton, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Draughn is set to challenge their familiar foe East Rutherford at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Patton will square off against rival R-S Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
