Volleyball Recap: Osawatomie's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Osawatomie came into Tuesday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Prairie View Buffalos by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the Trojans' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Osawatomie not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Prairie View between 18 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18.

Osawatomie found their leader in sophomore Avaya O'Brien, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Osawatomie's win bumped their record up to 10-20. As for Prairie View, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-23.

Coincidentally, Osawatomie and Prairie View will both be playing Iola the next time they take the court. The Buffalos will host the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Trojans will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
