Soccer Recap: Irvin Takes a Loss

Irvin lost against Bowie back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Bowie Bears who were credited with the win. The Bowie Bears got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Irvin Rockets' three.

Irvin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for Bowie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3-1.

Irvin will be playing at home against Harmony Science Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Irvin's last five matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Bowie, they will face off against Ysleta at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ysleta will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Bowie surely won't give up without a fight.
