Basketball Recap: Chenango Valley Takes a Loss

Chenango Valley lost against Seton Catholic Central back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Chenango Valley Warriors lost 82-56 to the Seton Catholic Central Saints. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Saints are ranked 24th).

It was another big night for Allan Eagles, who went 8 of 14 en route to 22 points along with seven rebounds and six assists for Seton Catholic Central. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Goodman, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 13 points.

Chenango Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Seton Catholic Central, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chenango Valley will face off against Chenango Forks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Chenango Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. Seton Catholic Central has already played their next game (against Ithaca), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
