Wyoming East hasn't had much luck against Bluefield recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Warriors will host the Beavers at 6:00 p.m. Wyoming East is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.

Wyoming East took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They never let WestSide get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The Warriors have beaten the Renegades the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Renegades has come to flipping the script.

Miken Smyth was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Zach Hunt was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Wyoming East always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April.

Meanwhile, Bluefield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 10-0 to Summers County. That's two games in a row now that the Beavers have lost by exactly ten runs.

Wyoming East pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bluefield, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.

Wyoming East took their victory against Bluefield in their previous meeting on Monday by a conclusive 16-4 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Beavers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
