Softball Recap: Eagle Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Eagle finally came back down to earth on Friday. They came up short against the Owyhee Storm, falling 8-1. The contest marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Eagle saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aly Vieira, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Eagle moved to 7-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Owyhee, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 13-0.

Looking ahead, Eagle will be playing at home against Mountain View at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Owyhee, they will head out to square off against Centennial at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Storm's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 9.7 runs per game this season.
