Wayzata came out on top against Edina on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run first inning. The Trojans blew past the Hornets 13-1. Considering the Trojans have won five games by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Wayzata is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Edina, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayzata will square off against Rogers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edina, they will face off against Maple Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
