Emerson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Dermott, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Emerson has already played their next game, a 61-58 defeat against Bearden on the 10th. As for Dermott, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-44 loss against McGehee on the 9th.
