Softball Recap: Cloverdale Eagles vs. Clear Lake Cardinals
Cloverdale won against Fort Bragg on Tuesday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. Everything went the Eagles' way against the Clear Lake Cardinals as they made off with a 14-1 win. Considering the Eagles have won nine games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Camryn Bird made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Cloverdale let Camryn Donahoo and Keiko Saito run wild. Donahoo went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI, while Saito got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Emerson Reasoner, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Cloverdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .724. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
