La Jolla Country Day post joins Montaya Dew as pair of top 10 recruits for Wildcats.

MaxPreps Junior All-American Breya Cunningham of La Jolla Country Day (La Jolla, Calif.) committed to the University of Arizona over the weekend.

The 6-foot-4 post from the Class of 2023 is the No. 10-rated player in the nation and No. 3 post, according to HoopGurlz, and chose the Wildcats over UCLA, USC, Oregon and Texas.

"Tucson, I'm coming home," she told fans in her commitment video, adding in a tweet "Playtime Over!!! 10000000% #Committed."
The first-team MaxPreps Junior All-American averaged 18.4 points, 11.4 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks in 2021-22 for the 23-5 Torreys, who finished No. 9 in the final MaxPreps Top 25.

Cunningham has averaged a double-double in each of her three seasons at La Jolla Country Day, going for 16.6 points and 10.9 boards as a sophomore and 17.3 points and 11.8 rebounds in her freshman season.

As a freshman, Cunningham was part of a La Jolla Country Day team that sported a 35-1 record and was ready to battle Archbishop Mitty for the CIF Open Division crown before the COVID pandemic shuttered the season days before for the final.

Arizona already had a commitment from Montaya Dew of Centennial (Las Vegas), the No. 9 player in the Class of 2023.
