It was a good run, but Louisville unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 15-10 to the Choctaw County Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 18-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.

Josh Ammons made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-5. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Braydon Rogers, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Ammons wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Louisville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for Louisville: they were averaging 4.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.

Louisville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Choctaw County, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Louisville will welcome Kosciusko at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kosciusko will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Louisville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Choctaw County, they will host East Webster at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
