Tupelo Christian Prep team went 1-1.
Smithville went from 183 to 162 in the national rankings since last week after going 0-2 in the past seven days.
The Eagles's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing 15 hits and nine walks to lead the league in both categories. On the season, Tupelo Christian Prep has allowed just 144 hits, while striking out 204 batters.
Drew Carter leads Tupelo Christian Prep with 62 strikeouts in 44 innings.
