Volleyball Recap: Avon Takes a Loss

Avon lost against Springfield back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Avon came up short against Springfield, falling 3-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-21, 25-20.

Jonah Sheppard was a one-man wrecking crew For Springfield. as he had 18 digs and three aces. Sheppard is on a roll when it comes to aces, as he's now served two or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Avon now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Springfield, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Avon is set to take on their familiar foe Euclid at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Springfield will face off against rival Northwest Ohio Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on April 8.
