Baseball Game Preview: Sullivan West Bulldogs vs. Tri-Valley Bears

Sullivan West is 1-6 against Tri-Valley since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 4:00 p.m. Tri-Valley took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Sullivan West, who comes in off a win.

Sullivan West lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Monticello, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Sunday's game. The Bulldogs blew past the Panthers 14-3 on Sunday. That looming 14-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Meanwhile, Tri-Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 8-3 to Eldred. That's two games in a row now that the Bears have lost by exactly five runs.

Tri-Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Kachelreiss, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double. That double was Kachelreiss' first of the season.

Tri-Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sullivan West, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Sullivan West took their win against Tri-Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-4 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
