Preview: Adams Central Patriots vs. Crete Cardinals
The Adams Central Patriots will face off against the Crete Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Adams Central stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Lexington with a sharp 49-25 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Adams Central has posted since December 15, 2023.
Meanwhile, Crete didn't have too much trouble with Aurora on the road on Tuesday as they won 51-33.
Marin Rasgorshek was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Anna Hohlen was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Adams Central's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Crete, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Everything came up roses for Adams Central against Crete in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 as the team secured a 61-28 win. Will Adams Central repeat their success, or does Crete have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
