Chelmsford had won 18 straight games and Brianna Cairns did her part to make it 19 on Friday. The Lions walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Wellesley Raiders thanks in part to Cairns, who had seven digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Chelmsford had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-16.

Chelmsford's win bumped their record up to 19-0. As for Wellesley, their defeat ended a seven-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.

Chelmsford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Westford Academy on the 26th. Wellesley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
