Basketball Recap: North Thurston Starts off Right with Win over North Mason + How To Watch

North Thurston had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 87-54 win over the North Mason Bulldogs. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 59-23.

North Thurston found their leader in freshman DeShawn Cavalier, who went 5-for-11 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven assists and five steals. Matthias TenKley was another key player, putting up 16 points and six rebounds.

Looking ahead, North Thurston will challenge Gig Harbor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Rams their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for North Mason, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-39 victory against Steilacoom on the 4th.
