Carrington was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Bottineau. The Cardinals came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 31 last week.
Bishop Ryan/Sawyer extended the longest winning streak in AA West this week by beating Beulah, 30-22. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Lions.
The Miners' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Trevor Zacher threw for 141 yards and Cody Nelson had 110 yards receiving. On the ground Karson Hintz chipped in 164 yards. Hintz helped Beulah's passing attack out by catching two balls for 23 yards.
Beulah's Zacher and Nelson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Zacher has thrown for 1153 yards this season, while Nelson, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 24 catches for 418 yards. Trevor Wettlaufer from the Braves leads the league in rushing with 1110 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Miners and Trinity/New England. Beulah enters the game ranked ninth in the state, while the Titans ranks 21st.
Hintz of the the Miners is only 31 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 169 carries Hintz has accumulated 969 yard this year.
Two of the top units in AA West will face off this week when Beulah takes on Marty Hochhalter's team. The Miners' offense has recorded 195 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Cardinals have permitted only 81 on the year.

St. Mary's Central suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after losing to Rugby. The Saints had been ranked 21st, but fell to 26 following the defeat.
