Recap: Osceola Seminoles vs. Manila Lions

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hoxie, the Osceola Seminoles were happy to have found some success on Friday. They put the hurt on Manila with a sharp 40-18 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Osceola also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.

Osceola can attribute much of their success to Keenen Jackson, who threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Tyler Bell was another key contributor, picking up 114 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Baugher, who picked up 63 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Walker, who rushed for 109 yards.

Osceola's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Manila, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Osceola will be playing at home against Fouke at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Manila, they will head out on the road to face off against Junction City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Junction City's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four games.
